For a week now, I thought the "ride" on my car, how smooth it feels while driving, was feeling a little off. My tires were looking off too, so I asked Hsiaokwai if he'd take a look at them, as I didn't know whether it just needed air or they were going bad.

Well, today (or yesterday? Thursday) I had left my last class and was going home. I had just gotten off the on-ramp onto I-95 when I realized the flapping sound I was hearing came from my car. But it didn't quite click until another minute later, that my tire was *flat*. When I pulled over, I smelled burnt rubber. A few minutes after I pulled over, a "Road Rangers" person (Palm Beach's always-going emergency motorist aid I guess -- no call boxes here) pulled up behind me and asked if I needed help. I said I needed to be towed somewhere, but they couldn't help, and they only gave me a couple minutes to use their phone. I called Hsiaokwai to no avail. I called AAA and said someone would be there within an hour, but nearly 2 hours later no one showed. Anyway, a little while later another "Road Rangers" person came up and offered to fix my tire if I had a spare, but at the time I thought I didn't have a spare, so they left. Then I realized "Ohhh I should look in my trunk to see if I have one". Durr, I did.

But I still waited, and finally nearing 8pm a regular motorist came and helped me. And here I thought good samaritans didn't exist anymore. I'm not supposed to speed higher than 60mph on the spare, because it's not graded for high-speed. I'm so paranoid about getting another flat. I'm probably going to get all my tires looked at on Saturday, after work. I was so pissed though, that I had to wait on I-95 for two hours, and especially because AAA never showed. I had shit I needed to do at home in those two hours that I never got to do today.

I'm definitely going to milk up tomorrow by sleeping in, as I have no classes or work. But I still have a bunch of shit to do anyway. Olivia comes home sometime this weekend, so would like to get homework out of the way completely by the end of today (Friday).

Also, since I've acquired a car and regularly have passengers, I've noticed lately that more and more they ask me to play American music instead of my usual foreign/Asian music. It bugs me a little, especially since when I used to be a passenger in everyone else's cars, I always had to listen to their music and rarely if ever got to pop in something I really liked. I didn't complain too much, because I'm usually agreeable and not too picky with music. But still. I don't know...

Awwww~!! Sorry about your tire troubles. ;_;

And also, tell your "passengers" that they are *no more* than "passengers" and that you are kind enough to drive them around, and if they knew any manners, they'd know it's rude to ask the kind driver to change the music to something of the "passengers" liking. They should just be greateful and be quiet. :D

I actually find it funny that I'm getting annoyed about it, because I knew I felt bad when I was rarely able to listen to stuff I wanted while a passenger in someone's car, and then I turn around and get mad when they want me to put on music they want. LOL

Seriously, I don't mind ceding control of my radio or whatever sometimes, it's just that they're beginning to ask a LOT now, and *that's* what bothers me. =\
