Yesterday night, I had this unbearable crushing back pain (and some in my upper abdomen) for nearly 4 hours straight before they subsided enough to let me sleep. When I woke up, they were *very* mild and now don't bother me, to be honest.

But I called my doctor today, and my boyfriend called his mother (she did have 3 kids), and they both said "Well it could be the baby's weight pulling your ligaments", and I just had to say "OK" because I know it's not the baby's weight... if anything, that would be something I lump together with my regular back pain (the baby's weight making my posture even worse), not something I'd attribute to 4 continuous hours of crushing back pain.

I cried because everyone thought I was crazy, that I was essentially blowing things out of proportion, being too much of a "worrywart". Only did one person who a friend of mine knows, plus my mom, thought it may be back labor. Nobody ever believes my concerns, they just shrug it off.

Even though I'm not an "expert" on how contraction pains feel compared to other pains, I know my body and what does and doesn't cause certain pains. I'm 6 weeks shy of my due date, so naturally I'd minimally consider the possibility of the terrible pains being contractions... considering I'd never had any pain like this in my entire pregnancy so far.

I've also had a suggestion that it may be gall stones, but I don't know.

I just feel really stupid, like I read too much into things.
