I can't believe ANYONE has the audacity to say that overpopulation is a sham. o_O; I didn't know that a current world population of 6 billion people, expected to rise to 9 billion, wasn't considered overpopulation.

Since the world is 2/3 ocean, I don't think it was meant to handle 9 billion people. :/

The world is drastically overpopulated. The only "argument" I could see "against" that fact is that in certain countries - such as most of Western Europe - you are having less births and more deaths, aka the upside-down population pyramid. While that is dangerous for those countries alone, far too many third-world countries remain in the right-side up pyramid, although it is completely unbalanced. The bottom vastly outnumbers the top, and that is where overpopulation begins. So just because the developed nations are experiencing a die-off or whatnot does not mean that the world itself is trying to hold more than it can. 9 billion people cannot live efficiently off of the tiny amount of livable land we have on this earth, much less the amount of drinkable water. Besides, for such a fuss over the die-off in developed nations, we sure do use up more resources than those experiencing massive overpopulation and crowding. Go figure.

Aww~ :)

I think that more people should look at the small within the large, which I think is what I did. Something like that.

... Okay, basically people need to stop at TWO kids. That's one replacement for each parent, or even if you're a single parent, you're replacing yourself and one other human who may not have a child. Or something. x__X; Ignore me, I'm just confusing myself.
