I got a new car (technically last night) tonight. o_O;
It was one of those "Wham-bam-thankyou-bye!" type of situations. At work today, the (general) store manager was mentioning to me that he was selling his car (since the store's owner bought him a new car). He was specifically talking to me about it... huh. Anyway, my mom and I went over to his place across the street to look at it.
It's a 1995 Saturn (I'm not sure what specific model it is, yet), and it has a CD player in it. =D It's great. I paid him $100 upfront, then I basically sign over my paycheck next week to him... to serve as a down payment. He must trust me a lot, considering until I can afford the [tax, title and registration], i'm driving under his license tags. o_o;; I know he'll give me good hours consistently, to make sure I can make the car payments on time. XD; The total price is something like $2000-3000.
This may mean either being forced to take out loans to completely cover school costs (if I can), or delaying school until Spring 2005. =\
I'm probably gonna have to find a second job, even if it's only a few hours a day, a few days a week. It'll give me some extra money, considering I work nearly 40 hours at the job I have now... and all that money goes to fucking bills. ALL of it. x___x;; Right now, i'm trying to sketch together my budget, and organize my finances. Argh.
At least i'm following through on my New Year's Resolution(s), when you get 'right down to it', is to be financially independent. Since I was 15, I've been independent in the sense that I've had power to live my life, as I see fit. No parental intervention, I suppose because my mom knows that I'm able to run my life, and can trust that I... know what i'm doing, that I can take care of myself. Besides, i'm almost 20 anyway, so, hahaha. =P
